⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ SUPER STAR ON THE WAY⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️▪️Due: 3-2-26Dam: “Funny Face” Lope N For Fun (TLM)Sire: Makin Me Willy Wild“Funny Face” was purchased from Mark and Melinda DeFreece and is out of the great producing mare Ima Potential. We loved “Funny Face” beautiful front leg, deep hock, size, personality, gorgeous flaxen mane/tail and really wanted Ima Potential’s bloodlines in our broodmare band. When “Funny Face” was two, we sent her to Brian Baker and Gaven Young in Ohio. “Funny Face” was well loved in this program but sadly she was injured (both rear suspensories were torn). This baby will be “Funny Face’s” second foal: the first is Felix (2025) and is by Made Four It. “Funny Face” is a great mom, easy breeder and we are proud of her first foal BUT Charlie is jumping up and down to send “Funny Face” back to training. Can anyone share their experiences with this kind of injury and sending a horse back to training? “Funny Face” was carefully rehabbed and has been cleared (prior to having first foal) and has been pasture sound every day since. #BrianBaker #gavenyoung #markdefreece #melindadefreece #kyledefreece #makinmewillywildstallion #makinmewillywild #thelopinmachine #debbitrubee ... 💙🧡💙🧡. HIGH ROAD RANCH PROUD. 🧡💙🧡💙In the horse world when we make a winner we call it a good cross. In our human world we just call it PROUD! Charlie Brooks has dedicated her life to juggling her school work (4.0 GPA), her farm work, Horse Showing and traveling. She does all of this with a smile on her face and a dream in her heart. Charlie made up her mind early on that she was going to go ride for Auburn’s Equestrian Team. We have photos of her outside Auburn’s gates at an early age and as we traveled north, we would often times stop at Auburn for a walk around campus so Charlie to visualize her dream. That dream is coming true! We were faced with traditional school vs online school to make this happen and took the leap.Job well done Charlie Brooks and thank you to the many along the way that helped make all of this happen. We are grateful, thankful, proud and inspired that dreams can come true……:but it isn’t for the faint of heart! This is an accomplishment that was not cheap or easy to come by and with the drive and motivation of one little girl, she saw to it that she will proudly be an Auburn Equestrian. #AuburnEquestrian#MaryMeneeley#JessicaBraswell#BrentTincher#LizBaker#CaleyCoffey#ChristieArrington ... 🩺👩‍⚕️🩺👩‍⚕️🩺👩‍⚕️🩺👩‍⚕️🩺👩‍⚕️🩺👩‍⚕️🩺👩‍⚕️🩺👩‍⚕️🩺👩‍⚕️🩺👩‍⚕️ 💛What would we do without large animal vets?💛💛Is there a shortage of large animal veterinarians?💛Being in a quiet part of Florida is great but we are not overflowing with large animal veterinarians. Our local, smaller town veterinarians often times run a small animal clinic and do large animals on the side as well. I know they are overwhelmed with business and are pulled from many directions. How can they keep it all going? When I have an emergency that I can’t handle alone, panic sets in and I start dialing for availability. Are there vet schools out there that encourage large animal practice? Or are most new veterinarians going in to small animal practices? This is poor little “General” that got himself into a bit of trouble. Thank God for Lynn Hall with Large Animal Services who fit us in for a haul in emergency call. These type of injuries are time sensitive and when this happens I pray someone in Northwest Florida will be available to help. It’s not as if they don’t want to help; it seems to be a juggling act of scheduled appointments, large animal and small animal practices and trying to make it all work. My hope? Is that more students will consider vet school and will stay interested in the practice of large animals! We NEED you! My fear? Is that we aren’t graduating many large animal vets and this problem will only get bigger. Thank you Lynn Hall, Carrie Riley and Chelsey Miller for helping me keep it all together over here at the High Road Ranch. We value and need you. #largeanimalvet #challengeswithhorses #hugyourveterinarian ... See MoreSee Less
