2007: Flash Back: David and Molly in college, Janet still at home in middle school and we start showing horses. It was a new chapter, new sports car (got rid of the SUV), a new stage in life and you know how this goes. As soon as we had our next chapter planned, I found out at age 44 I was pregnant with Charlie. I was surprised, scared, bewildered, happy, unsure and absolutely blown away. ![]()

SO, switch gears……what an unexpected blessing! Blane and I decided to raise our baby in the country. The deed to the High Road Ranch transferred one day before Charlie was born!!![]()

Charlie came in to this world and changed most things for us and for our family. She is the glue that brought all of our kids together, the child that brought new life at a time when I was losing my dad and a little Cowgirl that has kept us busy! Charlie has grown in to a woman I am proud to send off to college and into the hands of new friends and great coaches💙🧡.![]()

Today marks the first day of Charlie’s college experience as we pack her up and head to college. Charlie will ride on Auburn University’s Equestrian Team, fulfilling her lifelong dream. Our hearts are full even though our house will be empty (for the first time in 40 years). The farm we bought when Charlie was born? We are keeping it. It’s a lifestyle that has taught us much, has been a safe haven for many and we hope our family will enjoy for years to come. Come home often Charlie, make good choices, soak it in, live the dream!! We send you off with a great foundation and a huge fan club cheering you on. You are one special human that is well loved and will be missed by so many (two and four legged). ![]()
